Business Services have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Part time Grade 3 Business Services Assistant to join our team supporting Durham County Council’s Adult Care Teams.
The role will provide support to the one of the Learning Disabilities, Locality or County-wide Occupational Therapy and Sensory Support Service Teams.
The Adult Health Services Teams ensure that the social care needs of people are fully assessed under the Care Act and that the services are delivered, monitored and reviewed in accordance of agreed care plans.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will become part of an administrative support team working alongside our Council’s hybrid model between your home address and another base within County Durham.
We’re looking for a reliable, organised administrator to support our frontline teams and to deliver a professional service.
You’ll provide day-to-day administrative support, manage calls, inboxes and digital mail, maintain accurate electronic records, process referrals, applications and invoices, and liaise with a wide range of external agencies. You’ll also support confidential work, track activity and expenditure, assist with customer-facing services, and embrace new ways of working including AI tools.
If you’re detail-focused, confident with digital systems, and enjoy working in a busy, people-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you.
We encourage you to contact Sarah Bullerwell via email at Sarah.Bullerwell@durham.gov.uk to arrange an informal discussion about the role.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
Please refer to the attached Person Specification for the full criteria.
