The Governors of Shotton Primary School are looking to successfully appoint a hardworking, organised and reliable and highly effective practitioner to join our staff team on a part time basis.
The current post holder works 2.5 days at the beginning of the week, but the school may consider a different pattern of working, dependent upon the successful candidate and the needs of the school. This is a permanent post.
The successful candidate will ideally have highly effective KS1 experience and should be a good to outstanding classroom practitioner, able to plan clear progressive sequences of learning ensuring good attainment and progress over time.
The successful candidates will become part of a supportive team and dedicated staff who have high expectations and demonstrate a caring attitude towards our children’s academic, social and personal development.
Visits prior to application are welcomed and there will be an opportunity to visit our school on either Wednesday 11th June at 9:15am or 3:30pm or Monday 16th June at 9:30am.

The successful candidate will:
• Be a consistently good to outstanding teacher across the curriculum able to motivate and engage children.
• Meet all teaching standards.
• Have effective, successful and comprehensive experience of teaching primary aged children.
• Have a clear understanding of the needs of primary aged pupils, including special needs and all other vulnerable pupil groups.
• Have high standards of behaviour and the ability to effectively use positive behaviour strategies and clear expectations.
• Have high expectations of learning and achievement for all children.
• Have a well organised and managed classroom.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have patience and enthusiasm.
• Be non-judgemental.
• Work well with others.
