We are seeking to recruit a Senior Technician to provide essential technical and design support within our Traffic Signals and Urban Traffic Management & Control (UTMC) team, contributing to traffic management, road safety, and transport planning initiatives across the county.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

As a Senior Technician in the Traffic Signals and UTMC team, you will help manage the day-to-day running of traffic signals and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), including dealing with faults using monitoring systems. You will also support the design of traffic signal, ITS and traffic management schemes, including preparing and testing controller data, producing CAD drawings and cost estimates, and assisting with the Council’s UTMC system.

We encourage you to contact Brent Frankland, Traffic Signals Section Manager via email at brent.frankland@durham.gov.uk to arrange an informal discussion about the role.
